Champions 2011 Simi Valley Labor Day Invitational

When: Fridays only, August 26 - October 28, 2011 Time: 5 - 6 PM Where: Campus Canyon Park, Moorpark Who: For all soccer players age 10 - 18 This is a “drop in” clinic for any soccer player who is looking to improve their technical soccer skills

The U-17 boys won their 3rd beach title in a row at the 1st annual Hermosa beach soccer tournament. Led by the MVP Greg “White Kong” Abrams, the boys won an exciting game by winning in double overtime in the championship game with an amazing goal by Greg. Shut down defense by Romario Tinti, outstanding goal tending by Ivan Garcia and great play by Rigo, Diego, Brennan, & Frankie helped the boys win the last 3 games in row to win the tournament.

The Salesian College Boys from England came to play the Moorpark U-15 and U-16 boys this past weekend. All 3 games at Campus Canyon were great and just amazing to watch. Juan Baron’s U-15 boys played a very competitive game to a 2-2 tie. The U-16 boys beat the undefeated England team 1-0 and tied 3-3 against England ’s U17 boys. The teams all enjoyed some good old fashioned American hot dogs afterward. Thank you to Salesian College for coming to Moorpark!
